How To Re-shift Focus and Bring Life Back Into Perspective

Kyle Onstott

“You can float through a life created by circumstances, missing day after day, hour after hour. Or, you can fight for what you believe in and write the great story of your life. I hope you will make the right choice. Life is about growth and exploration, not achieving a fixed state of balance. You have a very limited time on earth to experience all that you can. Figuring out how to squeeze the most out of your family, work, and spirituality is your life's purpose. Go do it.”

Today my goal is to help you re-shift your focus & priorities & essentially put life back into perspective for you.

Here’s the thing...

We are all dying.. although this may be a hard pill to swallow, it is ultimately true.

We all have an invisible clock on our wrists with an unknown amount of time left on it. In essence, life is a limited time offer.

Chances are, if you’re anything like me, you don’t have as much time as you would like- none of us do.

With this in mind I have a question for you. Are you living intentionally? Are you living with gratitude, love, & compassion? Are you taking advantage of the time you have with family & friends? Are you using this time to the maximum? Or taking it for granted?

It’s common that We find ourselves only really asking these questions after a funeral or the passing of someone we know. This is a common time to find clarity in life and to realize we don’t have all the time in the word to get back into gear and live our lives.

Then time passes by and we forget about those lessons learned and self reflection questions that arose in our minds.

At the end of the day we are all human beings. We struggle with our human nature and often times we find ourselves taking the greatest blessings of life for granted, frequently on a subconscious level. Whether it means spending time away from family, complaining about the food you have on your plate, being un appreciative for the help someone has lended, the list is almost endless. We all fall into this trap- it is natural.

Im here to encourage you. Encourage you to take advantage of the limited time you have left. To enjoy and appreciate the finer things in life in all situations even when they don’t go as well as planned. To love like there’s no tomorrow. To give freely from the heart, especially to those in need. To take time away from your busy work life and enjoy quality family time. To do the things you’ve always wanted to, take that vacation, go on that road trip, visit that family member, hike that mountain, do whatever it is you desire to do in your life & do it when you have the opportunity to do so. It’s easy to fall in the routines & day to day of life.

When you find yourself in a state of ungratefulness or taking someone/something for granted- remind yourself this, tomorrow is not promised, so love & give today.

lead life, no regrets, don’t take things for granted, Be kind, spread love, bring joy, take control over your life, don’t procrastinate, take massive action, go for it now, live today as if it is your last,

& most importantly use your time wisely - the clock is ticking.

“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
