Embrace Discipline or Accept Defeat

From the second your eyes open & your head comes off the pillow, you must ask yourself: “how will I grow today?”

You have two choices in life: either embrace discipline, or accept defeat.

If you do not address self discipline, you will fall into the flow & current of life’s direction. Chances are high that the end result will not be your goals nor dreams, but a destination you never desired. It is one thing you can not outsource. Only you are in control. You hold the keys to the gate of your own self discipline. As the saying goes “what you do consistently, you will eventually become.” You must take ownership - every....single....day.

Discipline & consistency go hand in hand. You must have the discipline to consistently be an overcomer. An overcomer of temptations, objections, fear, hardship, & anything else life throws your way. If you do not stay consistent you will eventually realize you continuously take 1 step forward and 2 steps back. Success is measured by the level of self discipline you have & how often you exercise it. The gap between wishing and accomplishing is discipline.

Jim Rohn says it best “We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret or disappointment.”

Discipline is rooted in your why. So I must ask you: Do you have a strong enough why to keep you focused & motivated to push forward and overcome the daily temptations that will get in your way? Is that driving force so deeply instilled within your subconscious mind that no matter what temptation comes your way you will have the discipline to overcome?

Self mastery is a constant. You ultimately have to walk it out, one day at a time. When you have it, you realize you are the one in control. Stop negotiating with your mind and build the discipline it takes to speak & immediately take action- that is true will power.

As you know, discipline requires constant attention. It’s easy to get distracted in today’s day & age with technology surrounding us every second of the hour. Between social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snap Chat, & Twitter you can spend hours just browsing through pointless information & material. It takes an abundance of will power to cut yourself off and say “no, I will not get caught up in the social rat race.” Just like in fitness you must continually practice constant discipline prior to seeing results. The same rule applies to business. If you want to be the best closer you must be disciplined & relentless in your pursuit of studying and self education to perfect the close. Discipline should always be part of your professional training.

Discipline will help you master & conquer yourself. It ultimately determined whether your dreams live or die. If you want to beat anybody at anything in life the key is to be more disciplined then they are- CONSISTENTLY.

Stay disciplined
